You can scroll through both files to see all the differences. Any differences between the two files will be highlighted. A new window will open up, showing the two files side-by-side. Go to the View menu and select “Compare Side by Side” (or press Alt+O).
Notepad++ has a great feature that allows you to do just that. The coloration and UI is nice too.Comparing two files side-by-side is a very helpful way to see the differences between them. I like that I can have different projects for each codebase.
